The Wisconsin Bakers Association (WBA) fosters the education of future bakers as well as practicing bakers through scholarship programs and workshops. To encourage baking careers, the WBA supports school-to-work programs and job shadowing to provide students with realistic insights into the world of baking. The Association added a student membership category to bring these future bakers into the fold. If you are planning to pursue a career in Baking and Pastry Arts and are in need of financial assistance, consider applying for a scholarship. The Wisconsin Bakers Association (WBA) is proud to offer scholarships for students entering Baking and Pastry Arts programs. More than $30,000 has been given to students since our first scholarship program began in 1984. The Robert W. Hiller Scholarship is available to students pursuing a degree in a baking/pastry arts-related field that prepares candidates for a retail baking profession. The WBA established the Robert W. Hiller Scholarship to support and encourage people who have demonstrated a passion for a profession in the baking/pastry arts field. A $1,000 scholarship will be awarded to the applicant who can best demonstrate this career commitment. The WBA offers scholarships as a way to provide financial support for the education of students who will be the future of the Baking Industry. |
