Algoma Farm Market Kitchen: The Farm Market Kitchen is a non-profit organization and depends on rental fees, donations, grants and a generous cadre of volunteers who donate their time to help keep costs low for entrepreneurs starting their business on a shoe string budget. Our supporters give willingly to help you with your business. Processors using the Farm Market Kitchen are asked to help contribute through volunteer time and paying rental and service fees, some of which are outlined below. Intake Fee – first year $200 This intake fee covers consulting and business assistance during the first year, meetings with inspectors and two training sessions in the kitchen: 1) facility sanitation and safety training, including a practice run of production and 2) inspection meeting and review of production process required for licensing. This fee is due at time of application. Annual Fee – after first year: $50 Kitchen Rental Rate: $15 per hour Anchor Tenant Fee: $10 per hour – committed to 20 hours per month. Storage Rate: Dry storage, refrigerated and freezer storage are available to processors and fees are determined according to use. Cleaning Fees: $5 per month – billed at the end of the year and is based on the months of use. Aurora Kitchen (Also known as the Woodland Kitchen) Northeast Technical College: Intake Fee - $140 Kitchen Rental rates range from $10 to $20 per hour, depending on frequency, licensing required and the equipment used. They have minimal storage availabilities.
