WBA's Privacy Policy
The Wisconsin Bakers Association respects and is committed to protecting your privacy. Please be assured that the WBA uses its best efforts to protect and safeguard the privacy of visitors on the Internet. We have adopted this Privacy Policy to inform you how your personal information is processed and used. The following policies apply to the WBA, including any mailing lists owned and operated by the WBA. We do not disclose your information for other purposes.
Your Consent
By using or registering with wibakers.com, you consent to the collection and use of information by the WBA as specified below. If there are any updates or changes to our privacy policy, we will post those changes on this page.
Information Collected
Every computer connected to the Internet is given a domain name and a unique set of numbers, which serve as that computer’s IP address (or “Internet Protocol”). When a visitor navigates to a page from within the WBA website, our web servers automatically recognize the visitor’s domain name and IP address. The domain name and IP address reveal nothing personal about you other than the IP address from which you have accessed our site. We may use this information to examine overall traffic patterns, to investigate misuse of our network or to cooperate with law enforcement. We do not collect and evaluate this information for specific individuals.
Cookies
A cookie is a small piece of data that is sent to your Internet browser from a web server and stored on your computer’s hard drive. A cookie cannot read data from your computer hard drive or read cookie files created by other websites, nor can cookies do damage to your computer system. Occasionally, the WBA may send a cookie to your computer. We use cookies to identify which areas of the WBA network you have visited or customized, so that the next time you visit, those pages may be readily accessible.
You can choose whether to accept cookies by changing the settings of your Internet browser. You can also reset your browser to refuse all cookies, or allow your browser to show you when a cookie is being sent. However, if you choose not to accept cookies, your experience at our site and other websites could be diminished and some features may not work as intended.
Privacy Protection
When you visit the WBA website and are asked to submit information, you are sharing that information with the WBA alone. WBA does not share email addresses that you provide to us with outside companies but we may occasionally share a member’s mailing address obtained via the website, or by any other medium, with an outside company.
Requested Information
WBA only gathers personal information, such as name or email address, when voluntarily submitted by you. WBA may request your email address or mailing address for the purposes of survey conduction or to provide additional services, such as industry alerts, announcements or upcoming special events.
WBA does not rent, sell or share personal information about you with non-affiliated companies except to provide products or services you’ve requested, when we have your permission, or when information is provided to trusted partners who work with WBA under confidentiality agreements. These companies may use your personal information to help WBA communicate with you about special offers from WBA, our marketing partners or businesses who provide services to the industry. However, these companies do not have any independent right to share this information.
WBA reserves the right to use or disclose any information as needed to satisfy any law, regulation or legal request, to protect the integrity of the site, to fulfill your requests, or to cooperate in any law enforcement investigation or an investigation on a matter of public safety.
We maintain a strict “Anti-Spam” policy that means we do not sell, rent or otherwise give your email address to a third party. We also provide the opportunity to opt-out of future electronic communications from WBA.
Links to Other Sites
We may offer links to sites that are not operated by WBA. If you visit one of these linked sites, you should review their privacy and other policies. We are not responsible for the policies and practices of other companies, and any information you submit to those companies is subject to their privacy policies.
