    OVERVIEW: Responsible for daily operations of the baking facility. Production includes measuring, mixing, scooping, and baking ingredients. Follows recipes to create cookies, brownies, and other baked goods. Package and prepare final products for sale. Ensures baked goods conform to standards for customers. Oversee efficient and sanitary operations of facility.

    ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES/FUNCTIONS:

    • Gather, weigh, and measure ingredients to make baked goods.
    • Prepare batter, dough, fillings, and icings.
    • Mix dough using paddles or machines.
    • Roll, cut, and shape dough to form cookies.
    • Pour batter or dough into pans, molds, or sheets.
    • Place container in oven.
    • Monitor and adjust temperature on ovens.
    • Apply icing or glaze to baked goods.
    • Check goods to ensure they are thoroughly baked.
    • Top and decorate baked goods.
    • Learn and follow new recipes.
    • Check production schedules to determine output of baked goods.
    • Clean ovens, mixers, utensils, and other kitchen supplies after use.
    • Recommends measures to improve production/service methods, equipment performance, scheduling, quality control, and suggest changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency and safety of the operations
    • Oversees and maintains safety and sanitary standards in production areas according to the State‚Äôs Health Code and internal standards

    WORK ENVIRONMENT:

    The employee will work in a production environment. Exposure to loud noise and warm temperatures is likely.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    Education:

    • Culinary training preferred.

    Previous Experience:

    • 2 years of commercial baking required
